Has anyone jumped on the love train yet?
Amidst all the brouhaha going on around the world, I guess one can never run out of need to be loved. Our very own Ayo Balogun, Wizkid, dropped his highly anticipated album, "More love, less ego" last week and it has quickly occupied the TOP TEN chart on Apple Music, among other streaming platforms. Also, word from Billboard says the album has tied with Burna Boy's "Love, Damini" as the highest debut by a Nigerian artiste on Billboard, coming in at number four. I mean, Wizkid has always been a preacher of love , it was only a matter of time before he dropped something revolving around love. Oh! I think he mentioned something about that in an Apple Music interview, confirming that the album is just a reflection of shat he feels around him, totally surrounded by love. I don't get it, I really don't. The constant scrutiny of every single or album Wizkid drops, it is almost like a crime for an artiste to evolve his music and explore other genres. I think it would be weird for an artiste to be the same for more than ten years, come on. I think the funniest thing about all this is the fact that Wizkid says he can make any kind of music and he is not to be put in a box. For an album that earned 1.21 million streams in 24hrs of its release, I feel fans and stans should relax and enjoy the love and let go of ego (see what I did there?)
